Our Chairman and founder, Peter Dawes-Huish, heads a management team responsible for the delivery of quality, service, operations, product development, marketing, sales, operations, personnel and finance.
Peter Dawes-Huish is Chairman and CEO of LinuxIT and was appointed to the Board as CEO in 2008.
Peter is a visionary entrepreneur and innovator who founded LinuxIT in 1999. The company, which provides impartial advice, Open Source software and award-winning service solutions to both the public and private sector, has grown 50% year on year for the last four years under Peter's leadership.
Peter has over 18 years’ experience as a Senior Executive as MD, CEO, Consultant and Chairman and a successful track record in business development, company growth and turnaround in the IT sector. He has an extensive knowledge of developing IT companies from ground zero.
Prior to founding LinuxIT, Peter was UK MD of Cyrano taking it to IPO and European MD of Numega Technologies from start up to acquisition by Compuware. Previously, Peter was Managing Director and European sales Director at Installshield Software Ltd; where he implemented the company's European strategy and successfully grew the European operation prior to its acquisition by Macrovision for $76 million.
With over 20 years' experience in disruptive technologies Peter provides strategic business consulting. Peter understands Directors’ needs and the management difficulties in strategic planning, restructuring, risk management and organisational survival. Peter can cut through the issues that often constrain an organisation to discern the key important points, articulate these clearly and help delivery against them.
Following a meeting initiated by the Cabinet Office he is currently working closely with Bristol City Council as it begins work on a major Open Source project.
Peter is often invited to participate at international and UK conferences and sits on an advisory board for Economist's Global Agenda. He is a member of "Standard and Poor's Panel of Industry Experts" and a Council Member of Gerson Lehrman.
He has been recognised by the United Nations for his personal and professional contribution to the United Nations Development Programme, his work has enabled disadvantaged people around the world to benefit from high quality training.
Peter is married with three children and in his spare time runs his smallholding and tends to his flock of sheep.
Simon Mitchell - Executive Director
Simon joined LinuxIT from InstallShield in 2000. Responsible for the majority of sales during our embryonic years, he was appointed Executive Director in 2010. Since 2008, Simon and his team have been instrumental in achieving year on year sales growth of 60%. Simon creates and delivers our sales strategy heading up the field and internal sales, renewals and sales administration teams. He also leads by example in managing many of our strategic accounts and relationships. His belief is that by bringing a value proposition that solves problems and moves clients closer to their business goals, a mutually beneficial relationship will ensue.
Jeremy Comley - Marketing Director
Jeremy has held senior marketing roles in software development and support, reselling, IT training and certification. He was Marketing Director, and Publishing Director, at The British Computer Society, The Chartered Institute for IT, and has held Board level marketing posts in the industrial, commercial and public sectors. With an MA in Marketing, Jeremy has until recently been a CIM Diploma examiner, and visiting lecturer in marketing at a leading FE college. Jeremy is responsible for research and the planning, implementation and evaluation of our marketing strategy.

Mike Curtis - Executive Director – Service Delivery
Mike joined LinuxIT from his role as a Service Director at Atos Origin where he was responsible for outsourced service provision and fully managed service for multi-million pound public sector contracts. Mike brings a wealth of experience having been in service delivery management for over twelve year's practising service management as an ITIL V2 Manager and latterly a V3 Expert. He also holds a Post Graduate Degree in IT Service Management. Mike’s experience has been gained in both internal and external IT Service Delivery organisations from SME to Global across insurance, banking and finance, systems integrators and the public sector sectors.
Mark Reynolds – Director of Technology
Mark joined LinuxIT as a professional services engineer some 5 years ago and now manages the professional services technical team, overseeing all technical design solutions and the project management of our client engagements. In addition to working with Open-Source and Linux for 12 years Mark also has a background in software development and Microsoft technologies. He has worked extensively in the financial sector and ecommerce industry. Mark is currently studying for a post graduate Diploma in Information Systems.
