Corporate Social Responsibility and LinuxIT

LinuxIT believes passionately in remaining ethical in everything we do. As part of our commitment to conducting transparent and sound business practices, we are involved in a number of local and national charities. At present, we support:

  • Great Ormond Street Hospital
  • The Rainbow Centre

We have also made a huge contribution to the United Nations Development programme through our CEO, Peter Dawes-Huish, who has worked tirelessly to ensure that some of the most disadvantaged people in the world benefit from high quality IT training, via Linux Professional Institute (LPI) manuals donated to the UN.

Charitable Projects

In 2009, LinuxIT was approached by NoPC, a charitable organisation dedicated to improving the IT access and quality of education available in developing countries. Tasked with providing an innovative, rapid and reliable internet and desktop computing solution for an educational project in Tanzania, we devised a system that met all the challenges and offered a fully scalable model for NoPC. As a result of our involvement, teachers in both schools and the country's 32 Teacher Education Colleges can now demonstrate enhanced ICT skills.

We approached the project with the same level of commitment, professionalism and resourcefulness that we bring to the implementation and support of mission critical systems for our customers, in both the Private and Public Sectors.
