EGroupware is a groupware server. It comes with a native web-interface which allows to access your data from any platform. Moreover you also have the choice to access the EGroupware server with your favourite groupware client (Kontact, Evolution, Outlook) and also with your mobile or PDA via SyncML.

Greylisting is a weapon to use against spam. It is a shielding method, by which you can block out huge amounts of spam. In name, as well as operation, greylisting is related to whitelisting and blacklisting. Each time a given mailbox receives an email from an unknown contact (ip), that mail is rejected with a "try again later"-message (This happens at the SMTP layer and is transparent to the end user). All mail gets delayed at least until the sender tries again - and this is where spam fails as most spam is not sent out using RFC compliant MTAs; and the spamming software simply will not try again. SpamAssassin uses a wide variety of local and network tests to identify spam signatures. This makes it harder for spammers to identify one aspect which they can craft their messages to work around. It is distributed under the same terms and conditions as other popular Open-Source software packages such as the Apache web server and as the leaders in Linux we recommend it.

It is easy to extend as anti-spam tests and configuration are stored in plain text, making it easy to configure and add new rules. SpamAssassin can be integrated anywhere in the email stream and requires very little configuration; you do not need to continually update it with details of your mail accounts, mailing list memberships, etc. Once classified, site and user-specific policies can then be applied against spam. Policies can be applied on both mail servers and later using the user's own mail user-agent application.
