Simon focuses on our Strategy & Transformation. He is a thought leader, a proven strategic planner, and a creative concept developer who combines substance with process. He was appointed Executive Director in 2010.
He believes Linux is a force for the common good by creating freedom and empowerment. It is commoditising the operating system and in doing so driving down prices and delivering more value and innovation for individuals, organisations and society.
His mission at LinuxIT is to ensure we contribute our energies to commoditisation by removing any barriers to the adoption of Linux. The greatest barrier today is the lack of standardisation in the way in which it is adopted, deployed and managed.
Our approach is breaking down this barrier through the development and delivery of an integrated and holistic set of best practices for Linux.
Simon is also dedicated to driving sales at LinuxIT through effective strategy design and implementation, effective team leadership and management, and direct sales ensuring that there is a balance between long-term viability and short-term financial stability.
Simon is married with two children and in his spare time loves to be in the great outdoors particularly when playing, coaching and learning sports.
