LinuxIT Awarded G-Cloud IV Framework Agreement

LINUXIT NewsLinux Systems Management and Open Source Software specialist LinuxIT is looking to expand its portfolio after being awarded a Framework Agreement on the G-Cloud IV framework.

Simon Mitchell, Executive Director, LinuxIT said: “As part of the fourth phase of the G-Cloud framework, we are delighted to continue to offer our Specialist Cloud Services  to Local UK authorities, Government departments and other public sector organisations through this method.  The continued push and support from the Government for public customers to procure relevant services from SME’s via this framework is vitally important as SME’s are regarded as the drivers of innovation and growth in the UK.”

LinuxIT has secured a position on Lot 4: Specialist Cloud Services including Linux Infrastructure Maturity Assessment, UNIX to Linux Migration Services, Open Architectures Readiness Assessment, Consultancy, Design and Implementation through to Managed Services.

Mitchell added: “We believe the relevance of services proposed, quality of service definition and price all contributed to our successful submission. The shift from the old paradigm of closed computing and vendor lock-in is irreversibly underway and we are supporting the sector through the pain and gain of change. We provide our customers with award-winning services designed specifically to address their concerns, mitigate risks and deliver a true choice of technologies as a means to reduce costs, enhance quality, and improve their flexibility and agility in order to operate more efficiently. This is why we are working with so many customers in the public sector the length and breadth of the country.”
