Leading Bristol-based Linux and Open-Source specialist LinuxIT (Europe) has launched a unique indemnification program to underwrite community-based Open-Source software, which will provide organisations with a guarantee and assurance at zero risk.

A world first, LinuxIT will verify software by running it through an accreditation process. The program which is backed by a leading global insurance-based financial services provider and a LinuxIT Service Level Agreement enables LinuxIT to fix or replace software that does not work as expected. If the software doesnst work as expected due to a bug or another problem then the program guarantees that it will be fixed or replaced with a technology that does, within an agreed timeframe.
