CPPGroup Plc (CPP) is a leading provider of Life Assistance products and services with more than 11 million live policies in 15 geographical markets. Their products and services are designed to meet consumer needs across a range of areas relating to everyday living, in particular credit and debit card ownership, personal identity, mobile telephones, travel and the home. The Group primarily focuses on providing customer assistance during stressful life events such as the loss or theft of a wallet, purse, mobile phone or keys, as well as providing support in the event of identity theft. CPP continues to widen its product and services portfolio to capitalise on the evolving and growing Life Assistance market.
The Challenge
CPP needed to improve the reliability, security, scalability and interoperability of its operating system whilst reducing TCO. They also wanted to ensure that they system was adequately supported to meet its business needs.
The Solution
The LinuxIT project team recommended and then planned and delivered CPP’s system choice - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) - a securely hosted Linux environment as their operating system. CPP also chose LinuxIT Premier Service, for Red Hat, for full level support and peace of mind for their choice of basic level system subscriptions. 16 Servers are covered under our LinuxIT Premier Service.
The LinuxIT Premier Service wrap provides tailored services to complement the software support provided by Red Hat. At the core of these ITIL compliant services are incident management and request handling to help maintain an optimised platform at all times.
